evaluation

My evaluation:

i liked this project a lot sense i listen to alot of music and i think that my project was very successful and that i hit all the points of house music that we have been learned. I have been more organized then before and that is why i think that i have been able to hand in time, i was actually done before on Friday the 1 June. John one of my class mates think that is good, and Holmes also thinks it is good and he wants a copy which is a good sign. My class mates also thinks it is good but it doesn't flow at sometimes which is kind of the point.

i think that this creates a quite big variety music so hope that people will like at least some songs. The complete house music piece   is about 27 min which is a lot according to me , i didn't think that i would make so much music blend. Everything translate very well. I have used that same part of "Adigo for strings" from the movie platoon over and over again so it is that linking piece.

 A lot of the process is using several individual audacity files. For an example i did my cutting in one and i kept my important beats in an another and then i had a real one were i put my stuff in and then i fixed and edit more and then it went to another one were all the pieces of music are.

The part i am most proud of it the ending is goes really well with everything else and it fits in so damn perfectly. i am so happy that the ending went well. I wasn't my idea in the beginning, but Mr Holmes convince me that it is a good idea so i did that way. John also thought it was a good idea so that is why i did it.

I also have gotten some help form john in the technical area with cutting and pasting tracks so they the fit. In the beginning i had problem with using audacity sense i have used it before, but after a week it was really easy to use, and it was very fluent and fast to use, but it is annoying that you cant do anything when it paused but you have to stop it to use any other function. It is also annoying that you cant remove any special effect that you have used on a section of a song.

In the beginning i had problems doing a decent beat, but after some time with Holmes i manged to make some solid base lines, and after that i worked by putting in songs according of i wanted dance or something else

I have to start working on my piece,this post will contain daily updates every time i work on it , I also have to do a bibliography

Today I will be looking at some beat and see if I can find something that I like and build around it

April 27 trying to find something that i can work around,i have added some dubstep and some classical music i have found a lot of music from Monstercat that is really help full i have cut some  music and got some feed back and now i have to extend the intro because it is to sudden.

I decided to play Samuel barber "Adigo for strings" at the end as a teaser and all the requiem is switched out for Adigo for strings. At the end there is a teaser so people think that song will continue but it just stops there
you could say it a troll moment for everyone
now lets reflect >_<

Because i have been more organized and because i had a clear idea i finished  in time.
I changed the Requiem liking piece to Adigo for strings. This wasn't a big problem because i just had cut and copy a piece over and over again which is really easy but annoying because you have to stop instead of pause the music, but it wasn't a problem and i fished within 10 minutes of the class the 1st of June.

step 1. Find song like thought YouTube and other sites, then convert the song into mp3

step 2. Find a song with a good base line, then i can can extended the baseline

step 3 Find a linking piece  then copy it

step 4 Then find other songs and make sure that they fit into the base line

step 5 Then make the house piece about 15 minutes long (a minimum)

and DONE!

During this process I used   DJ Testio's "Adigo for strings" this inspired  me to do house music with an influence of classical music.The first classical piece I used was Mozart's Requiem,and it worked well until the end. I couldn't find a dance version of it or a good remix. So I used Samuel Barber's Adigo for Strings as my linking piece. This lead to me changing alot of my of my song. but luckily it didn't take more than 10 minutes to do.Be And then i was done.

The reason why I didn't have a very detailed plan is because I cant follow it and it feels that it might drag down on the creativity process of my house-music.

The problem is to make a piece of house music that is between 15-30 minutes long. The relevance of this project is because it is in everyday life for almost everyone. Because it is such a global phenomenon it is important to study it and understand why people like it so much.

 YouTube.com is going to be one of the biggest one, i will be able to find other similar house music, increasing the amount of music that i have

My own collection- my own collection will be useful because i have alot of music already that might be useful  in the process

Grooveshark- for people that don't know this the BIGGEST online distributive of music which you can listen for free, it has a neat and nice look and it is free to register, i will be getting some inspiration from there

House-mixes.com- i get all my trance, hard style house music from here and this is probably going to be my main source of house music, people on the site have made some really neat mixes that i can information from\
