evaluation

My evaluation:

i liked this project a lot sense i listen to alot of music and i think that my project was very successful and that i hit all the points of house music that we have been learned. I have been more organized then before and that is why i think that i have been able to hand in time, i was actually done before on Friday the 1 June. John one of my class mates think that is good, and Holmes also thinks it is good and he wants a copy which is a good sign. My class mates also thinks it is good but it doesn't flow at sometimes which is kind of the point.

i think that this creates a quite big variety music so hope that people will like at least some songs. The complete house music piece   is about 27 min which is a lot according to me , i didn't think that i would make so much music blend. Everything translate very well. I have used that same part of "Adigo for strings" from the movie platoon over and over again so it is that linking piece.

 A lot of the process is using several individual audacity files. For an example i did my cutting in one and i kept my important beats in an another and then i had a real one were i put my stuff in and then i fixed and edit more and then it went to another one were all the pieces of music are.

The part i am most proud of it the ending is goes really well with everything else and it fits in so damn perfectly. i am so happy that the ending went well. I wasn't my idea in the beginning, but Mr Holmes convince me that it is a good idea so i did that way. John also thought it was a good idea so that is why i did it.

I also have gotten some help form john in the technical area with cutting and pasting tracks so they the fit. In the beginning i had problem with using audacity sense i have used it before, but after a week it was really easy to use, and it was very fluent and fast to use, but it is annoying that you cant do anything when it paused but you have to stop it to use any other function. It is also annoying that you cant remove any special effect that you have used on a section of a song.

In the beginning i had problems doing a decent beat, but after some time with Holmes i manged to make some solid base lines, and after that i worked by putting in songs according of i wanted dance or something else

Today I will be looking at some beat and see if I can find something that I like and build around it

I decided to play Samuel barber "Adigo for strings" at the end as a teaser and all the requiem is switched out for Adigo for strings. At the end there is a teaser so people think that song will continue but it just stops there
you could say it a troll moment for everyone

Because i have been more organized and because i had a clear idea i finished  in time.
I changed the Requiem liking piece to Adigo for strings. This wasn't a big problem because i just had cut and copy a piece over and over again which is really easy but annoying because you have to stop instead of pause the music, but it wasn't a problem and i fished within 10 minutes of the class the 1st of June.

step 1. Find song like thought YouTube and other sites, then convert the song into mp3

step 2. Find a song with a good base line, then i can can extended the baseline

step 3 Find a linking piece  then copy it

step 4 Then find other songs and make sure that they fit into the base line

step 5 Then make the house piece about 15 minutes long (a minimum)

and DONE!

During this process I used   DJ Testio's "Adigo for strings" this inspired  me to do house music with an influence of classical music.The first classical piece I used was Mozart's Requiem,and it worked well until the end. I couldn't find a dance version of it or a good remix. So I used Samuel Barber's Adigo for Strings as my linking piece. This lead to me changing alot of my of my song. but luckily it didn't take more than 10 minutes to do.Be And then i was done.

The reason why I didn't have a very detailed plan is because I cant follow it and it feels that it might drag down on the creativity process of my house-music.

The problem is to make a piece of house music that is between 15-30 minutes long. The relevance of this project is because it is in everyday life for almost everyone. Because it is such a global phenomenon it is important to study it and understand why people like it so much.

My own collection- my own collection will be useful because i have alot of music already that might be useful  in the process

House-mixes.com- i get all my trance, hard style house music from here and this is probably going to be my main source of house music, people on the site have made some really neat mixes that i can information from\

alot of kids play handball in our school, and i feel that they waste alot of time and it looked stupid and the rules was nonsense, and many people also thought it was a waste of time so i deiced to make a documentary telling everyone who ridicules it is

i feel like is should have done alot of thing different, for an example i should had a hard drive so my work could been more flexible and easier to work with, in the design work i could have used more of the dogeball and more special to make it more special then it was, my documentary felt like a bunch of archival clips that was put together with music together, i wish i had more of the documentary convection such as juxtaposition, i tried to make it more sarcastic by putting ironic music that condratics from what is shown on the screen.

alot of my creating was based on day to day base were i thought of what i wanted and what i need to do, one of the main issue that i had enough time, but then i had put in alot archival footage and used alot of feedback to make it better, i played with the slow motion effect to make more time in the begging and then it turnded out really, the song changed several times and i got some posetiv feed back from it, if i could recreate the project i would take it home and work with it more at home

THis is gold !
Downball (also known as handball) is an Australian variation of four square played throughout Australian schooling institutions. It is played on courts usually consisting of 4–6 squares, in which each player occupies one square at a time. The game is played with a tennis ball, which is served by the player in the "king" or "ace" square. The object of the game is for the player to navigate their way to the "king" square by eliminating opponents. Eliminating opponents can be achieved in the following ways:
  • A player fails to touch a ball as it bounces through their square
  • A player touches the ball twice in their own square
  • A player hits the ball and it bounces twice in their own square (This of course include a serve from the "king or "ace")
  • A player hits the ball into another square without first bouncing in their own square (This is known colloquially as a "straight" or "full")
  • A player hits the ball and it proceeds to roll through their square or another players square. (Naturally, this is known as "rolls" because of the rolling nature of the ball)
  • A player hits the ball and it lands out of the boundaries of the court
  • Interfering with other players or the ball
  • Elimination does not occur if hitting the ball on interior lines as "Liners" (due the fact the ball touches the line) occurs and the two players whose boundary the ball landed on have a ruck and this is the only time a straight is allowed to be hit due to the inability to be able to hit the ball into your own square then another at the ruck
  • I was suppose to use these rules some how but i couldt find any place for it which is sad since i put alot of time into trying to find something that i could exspose

this was the desgin!

The current design was to have certin archival that would fill in were these shot would, i also feel that i got away from the topic instead of displaying, however i think that the intro is really good and i am happy about it 

the purpose with the Physco shower sense was to create a harsh tone aginst handball making it look it was the most stupid thing ever, but also it gives a effect of confusion, hopefully dragging the aduince in to be intrested of the documentery,

then i am cutting to a blank screen to once again give the documentary to give it a suddle effect,  the plan was to hold a complete and dark screen for a cuople of seconds to creat some sort of cliff hanger

then i will be contradicting "stone hill handball" and "proper handball" were i will take some footage of them playing and cut were they look pathetic, and then cut to "proper handball" were i will show a clip of handball were it is most intanse with the subtitels, using the irony of the line " i see no diffrnce between this sport do you" this is used to make people realise how handball is actully played.

then some talking haeds talking about how bad it is to have a offical persone bash on the sport to make it more redicoules

then some interview with people how play handball. then i have to cut to part were they look confused and answer a simple question, this is used so gernaliss to make everyone look stupid like michle moore did in frenhit 9/11 with gorge bush 

and then i would play withe and nerdy while some kids are playing handball in teh backround, to ephmisese how bad and nerdy it is and stupid

Dodgeball- a True underdog story, directed by Rawson Marshell Thurber, about a gym competing for 50.000 $ to save their gym by winning a Dogeball torunemnt, The reason why i choose to use this movie is because it makes fun of dogeball the way i want to make fun of handball.  



The king of Kong: A fist full of quarters,  a movie about  The game King Kong and people playing it and arcade addictive sub culture made by Seth Gordon i want to display the addictiveness of handball, it is also a great expository documentary about King Kong

 Red Dawn, is a movie made in 1984 during the cold war, it was written by John Milues and is a movie about the USSR invading America, This movie scared everyone in America during this time, i am using this movie in the bibliography because i want to scare people into not playing it.

 V for Vendetta is a movie directed by James McTeguine in 2005, it is about the hero V that plans to overtrhow the new English government, It displays the government relay harsh the same way i want to display Handball

Fahrenheit 9/11 a movie directed by Michel Moore about the fear of terrorist attacks in America , it greatly propaganda against the America government and made them seem useless and pathaic the same i want handball to look as the Geroge W Bush looked in this movie .
